Here I am.....at the beginning of the the end. This has been a long year. First the decision to have the surgery, then the insurance dance and the reality that I am here....the beginning of the end. The end of being fat, no zipper pants, covincing myself that I love to shoe shop (You know your gonna find a pair of shoes that fit, 'cuz nothing else will).
My story begins like so many of others. One year, many moons ago I gained a few extra pounds. And in case your wondering, pounds come in pairs. If you gain one, another shows up, you gain two they bring thier two friends and so on. Well fast forward a decade and the few pounds I gained have brought along all thier family and friends(there are too many to count)but they have invaded my butt and thighs and are rapidly housing themselfs in my abdomin. So, my Surgeon and I are hosting an intervention on March 19,2007 and will be asking them in no uncertain terms to vacate the premises....forever and til death do us part.
I have made the decision to have surgery, battled the insurance and am counting down to my rebirth....4 weeks and 3 days. Good luck to everyone out there in every stage of the weight loss dance.
