I emailed my PCP yesterday regarding WLS, and he already helped me schedule my first of six bariatric program appointments with my nutritionist! It's January people!  I'm so excited!!!!

January 14, 2013 at 3pm is my first step. 

I have a lot of feelings right now. Be back later 

So my old supervisor went through WLS 3 years ago, and I talked to her today.  She said we can go to WLS meetings together and that this is going to be so hard, but so worth it but she's here to answer any questions or help that I need.  I'm glad I have people in my life that don't sugar coat anything related to this, because I don't want to be blind going in.  I'm so happy to be where I am and blessed to be able to try to make this decision by the grace of God!

I know with a great support team, I can get through this with prayer of course.  I am so thankful!

Today is a new day. I never thought I'd say that I would say I am considering WLS. I emailed my PCP today, pouring my heart out. It felt good though.  It makes me feel so good to really be in the KNOW now. Because for a long time, I have been living in a false sense of reality about my weight and the sleeper has awaken! Both of my sisters had the surgery prior to me, and they are already such an encouragement to me...and it's day one.  

Life is a journey, and today I'm taking control of my life.  

Happy New Year everyone! I don't have any "New Years resolutions" ...but I have plain old resolutions.
