I have been over weight for so many years it is hard to remember when it all started. I can blame it on baby weight that I never lost, but Lord that was almost 40 years ago. I have gone up and down so many times that I can't even remember all the diet's I've been on.
The death of my Dad and the discovery that my husband had cancer three years got me started on a diet once again. I did well (94 lbs.) until my husband got worse. It was just easier to pour on the pounds to hide the worry.
I have to do something or I'm going to die at a young age compared to the people on my family tree. I'm not ready to do that quiet yet as I have to much to live for and to many things to do before I bid farewell.
My daughter and I are going on this trip together. She will have the sleeve surgery 9/21/2010 and I'm two week (10/05/2010) later with the full RNY.
I'm a Arkansas native. Showed this place to my husband in 1970 and in 1983 he moved us, one daughter,one son, myself and himself here to live. We started our own business in 1984, Murphy's Pride Produce. We work at that for close to 20 years sold the business and retired to Bella Vista. Since we sold the business I can stay the weight has also been easier to gain, lack of movement.
Well here I go on this journey, and glad to have made this choice...
