My name is Marie, I am 24 years of age and a marine wife, stay ate home mother of a little girl who is a type 1 diabetic. I am working to lose weight and hopefully get the lapband surgery to better my life. I want to be a mechanic and being big doesn't get you under cars. I also would love to be able to dance and play with my daughter with out being tired, with out aches and pains. I want to be on my husbands arm with out the stares or the skinny man with the hippo. I know that sounds so harsh to judge myself that way but it is how I feel. I suffer from mental disorders which make life a little harder to bare, but I continue on and get better. Recently in the past month I have lost 17lbs and I am proud that I was able to do so. I hope the weight continues to come right off.
