Hi, I feel just like you do. I am 4 weeks post-op and feel exactly like you described about not enjoying food anymore, going out to eat and life just seems really boring and depressing. Could it be that we derived "that" much pleasure from eating in our pre-op life? I just keep telling myself that this will eventually all go away and life will be extremely good, better than it ever was before. It is nice to know that I am not the only one who feels this way. I hope it gets better for you soon. Joanne

Denise, I am having the same feelings as you are right now. I had my surgery June 5, 2002 and am still not very happy about it. I have lost around 48 pounds, but do not want to eat...but I do because I have to. Funny thing, I told my doctor at my last visit that I wish I had never done this and he said everyone feels this way for the first 6 months or so. I told him I don't think I will change my mind, even then. He offered to dilate my pouch to make it bigger, or go back in and put everything back the way it was...I told him NO WAY was I going to do that! I just want to enjoy what little I eat...not eat more. Anyway, I hope you (we) get to feeling better soon; as everyone says,"it will get better". Best wishes

Hi Denise, I read your post about being tired...did you have a sleep apnea test? I read that even if you don't snore you can still have it and be tired during the day. Also...what about iron? Maybe you are anemic?? Congratulations on doing so well though. I go in 8/16. We are neighbors...I live in Pasadena. Good luck. I hope that you work this tiredness out soon... Maureen

I had my surgery June 18, 2002. I feel fabulous. I am into my 2nd week phase of dieting, which consists of broth, jello, crystal light and protein shakes. I lost 15 pounds but have been yo-yo-ing between 251 and 255. Why aren't I losing each day. Read my menu. Jeeez! Does anyone know if this is normal? Also, the sugar-free popsicles are great and can I drink coffee? I do hope I will receive lots of responses to clear this up. Gods Blessings.

Denise, Want to send you my very best wishes and congratulations on your surgery. Jeremiah 29:11 has been such an encouragement to me...For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Isn't our God awsome?
