Greetings All! I just had my gastric bypass April 24, 2008 and so ready to begin this fight and journey! I've always been overweight-from adolescence to adulthood; and yet, had no problems with my health. September 2004 changed all of that: I suffered extensive injuries due to a car accident, with the major being a fractured tibial plateau. With my knee receiving arthroscopic surgery, I was told to lose weight in order preserve my joints and live a normal, productive life. So, here I am: I went through referrals, informational sessions, 7 months of supervised dieting, and insurance approval and YES, life begins!
