My name is Dedra Ellis and today begins my journey. I am so glad that I found this site because it has been a blessing to me.
I don't have my surgery scheduled yet. I am scheduled to see Dr. Bauman next Friday on March 30, 2007. This is actually the second time that I am beginning this process. Last year in April I went to see Dr. Bauman and I got scared among other things. I also let people talk me out of it because of their fears for me. Or was it because they didn't want me to lose the weight? Would it be that I would get more attention? Would it be that my self esteem would soar and they thought they would feel insecure? Nevertheless, it's my time now!!! I am going to do it.
I will post as days go by and I move closer to my date. Hopefully I can have all my test done and be ready for surgery by mid May. Keep me in your prayers and please feel free to leave me any advice or any tips that will help me.
