Mary, If Laura posts to you first, or you see her post, maybe you could email it to me. I'm wondering the same as you? I am hearing that some VGB's are having to get reverted to Roux-en-y's, but that's after years, because they've gained their weight back. VGB not really reccommended, but she didn't say why they were going to revert her. It makes no sense to me. She and I started out about 30 pounds apart, and now she only about 10 pounds more than me, but that's only a 20# difference, so I don't get how she could be malnourished. That is something we all face down the line; but for someone to say that to her now, I don't get. She hasn't answered me yet, and I'm beyond curious now. Oh well... Hey, just noticed your surgery date is just a short time away. I hope you have a smooth time of it. Here is some scripture I love for support: The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 For I am the LORD, you God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 Don't tell GOD how big your storm is. Tell the storm how big your GOD is! Best Wishes

I know you said you had no co morbs but are you suffering from aches and pains? (knee, hip etc)My feet KILL me. Do you sleep well (not me I can't get comfortable and my arms fall asleep. I'm a side sleeper). Do you get out of breath? Surely you can think of something. Do you get indigestion frequently? BOy I do. These are types of co-morbs. If you have discussed them with your dr. Just THINK real hard about genreal coplaints and see hoe often these happen. I'm sure others can help too. But just hang in there. God bless Jamie

I posted a response to your post on the message board, but I just felt so touched my your struggle with your Mom that I wanted to post here as well. Tell your Mom, tell your family -- I completely understand that your Mom has made you miserable about the weight. For me it isn't my Mom, it's my Motherinlaw. I believe that your Mom loves you, she just doesn't know how to show you that without pissing you off!!! :) When you are through this and well again, then I would sit her down and have a heart to heart about how miserable you were, and her contributions to that situation. But right now, focus on you. You don't need the grief that will come if you don't tell her.

Hi Mary, Congradulations on your sugery! Are you having Lap or Open? I can sense that you are very frustrated with telling your family and it seems that alot stemms between you and your mother. Remember You have decided to make this choice for you and NO ONE Else! You are making the right Decsion for You and NOT your Mother. It can be frustrating puzzling yourself should you tell or not. And the aftermath of when you do tell is everyone gonna watch what you eat 24/7! Do what is best for you and remember that you are Beautiful and that what your thinking and feeling is valid! I wish you love and Blessing thru this journey! We are here for you! Love Diva Girl

Hello Mary~To dream anything that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself, to test your limits, that is the courage to succeed. Bernard Edmonds
