2 months after my 2/17/10 surgery.

I have lost 45 lbs so far.  I have gone from 22/24 sizes to 18.  I am starting to work out twice a week with a trainer.  I am trying to do the things I don't want to do, which is called discipline.  That word really bothers me.  The word itself sounds unpleasant.  Doing things dispite not enjoying or wanting to do them has been my problem for a long time.  I have beat myself up abouth my lack of self-discipline.  After seeing my surgeon for the first time, I realized that it's really a combination of lack of self discipline and genetics that  helped me diet my way to 279 pounds.  I am enjoying all the attention and compliments while  losing weight.  But I know to keep it off I need to excercise and find something active I enjoy doing.  I am starting to make a pile of clothes I have grown out of and it feels good to know I don't have to keep them around "just in case".  mary  4/20/2010
