Thomas Sterry

"Dr. Sterry was great! He completed a LBL on me and took 47 pounds off. Apparently it was a record. If I had any problems and called in I received a call back almost immediately. He even agreed to meet with me on a Saturday when I wasn't feeling well. When I wasn't feeling right he too every precaution with me and wouldn't let me leave until we had answers. My results are amazing and I am very happy with his work. I actually have a shape now! It is great!"

Jill Potts

"Dr. Potts was very supportive in my decision for WLS. Apparently I am the only person she has ever recommended for it. She doesn't believe in any type of surgery. She believe to treat something with therapy before surgery. I am not overly impressed with her most of the time. When I go into the office for a problem I usually don't leave with a solution."

Karen Leinhardt

"Karen was very knowledgable of the different diets. She showed me portion sizes to expect. She also gave me things to change about my diet before surgery to make the transition easier. Her voice was a little high pitched and became a little hard to listen to at times, but I knew what she had to say was very important."

Highland Hospital

"I cam not say enough good things about my surgeon, his resident, and office staff. The hospital on a whole wasn't too bad. The nursing staff was the worst I have ever seen or heard of. I had to wait over 3 hours for pain medication one time. There was a nurse that didn't know how to put the booties that inflate on your feet. When I went for a walk around the nurses station no one would accompany me or help me, even when I was on the morphine pump. I was walking into walls. I shared a room with my mother who had the surgery at the same time as me. That was comforting. The nurses would come in a introduce themselves at the begining of each shift. They would always tell us to call them if we needed them. When we would call a woman would respond over an intercom and tell us the nurse would be right in. Sometimes I had to call 3 or 4 times until someone would respond. When I would go out for walks the nurses were sitting around drinking coffee. We had to ask for the nuns hats in the bathroom to be changed and emptied before we could go. I realize that I was in the hospital over Christmas but more than half of the floor had empty rooms and there was a full staff on. This was unacceptable. I couldn't believe that they would not wheel me out of the hospital when I was going home. They didn't even walk me out. I thought that they needed to and that is was policy. All in all Go to Highland for Dr. O'Malley and you won't regret it. He is a wonderful surgeon and really cares and has an understanding of the obese patients he treats."

William O'Malley

"I had my Group Consultation with Dr. O'Malley on Oct 31 and then my personal one on November 7. I am very impressed with his professionalism and compassion towards hiw patients. He truly has an understanding of his patients and their needs. He is very knowledgeable. When I asked 40 Questions in my one on one he didn't hesitate on answering any of them. He is very up front. He emphasizes over and over again that the surgery is a tool and the real work is up to the individual. I have only heard wonderful things about the man and I am just confirming them. Dr. O'Malley is wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about him and his surgical team. He is very sensitive to an obese person's needs and feelings. Everyday I was in the hospital, even on Christmas Day, he stopped in and checked in. His resident that was working with him was also very nice and was in twice a day. Overall I would rate Dr. O'Malley a 10! He is a wonderful surgeon and a very caring doctor. "
