So here I am actually facing surgery in 6 days!!! I thought I had researched the gastric sleeve surgery pretty well but
today I had my second appointment with a PA, my "product check" to see how I am doing on the suppliment diet and had
blood drawn. The PA asked me if I had been informed about the pureed diet I would be on post surgery and the nausea
I may have. Well, I hadn't been told about those issues. The nausea is the reason for being in the hosp. a little longer than
the r&y and lapband patients. I am very intimidated by the aspect of the nausea. I don't want to throw up my new little bananna
stomach! It may or may not last for a month or two post surgery too. Yuk! The PA said they would do everything in their power
to keep me from being that way and I may not anyway. I shouldn't worry. Well, if I had known these things I may have made
a different choice. I thought I would be feeling fine really soon and be on my way to a new life! I guess that is still a possiblilty.
I got through my first week of the suppliment diet and lost 9lbs!!! That is a big weight loss for me, a month's worth at Weight
Watchers if I was doing really well.
