ONE MONTH OUT
Jan 27, 2010
I'm so thankful to God for his blessings and my family and friends who were so supportive during this time. My mom was not on board with it initially, but she's coming around especially now that she knows I'm ok. I've really stuck with the guide that Dr. Duncan's office gave me as far as what I can/can't eat for the first 1-8 wk. Tempatation is great but all I have to do is hear the stories from those who've been there about the dumping and nausea to get back on track.
I've started walking on my break @ work with my co-workers but really need to either get to a gym and go to Curves so that I don't develop the wing syndrome around the arms. I'm so happy that I made this decision and looking forward to the "new" me.
A CHANGE GON' COME
Dec 10, 2009
It's been a long time since I've posted anything and the reason being is because I've gone through a series of emotions...mostly negative. I've been on this journey for quite awhile and have been met with one obstacle after another that had me questioning whether I was making the right decision or not.
I felt like God was sending me a message initially but then I began to look at it differently and said to myself, self...maybe God is just testing my level of committment to the process.
Well, I'm happy to report that I've passed with flying colors and I'm scheduled for surgery 12/18/09. I'm excited to say the least and ready for my new adventure. This will be a new chapter in my book of life that I'm embracing with arms wide open!!!
LET THE PARTY BEGIN....

I got a call from Shonna today from Peachtree Surgical confirming that my paperwork was received. However, I didn't include the authorization form needed to verify my insurance benefits. That was a quick fix. Shonna faxed the form, I signed it, and faxed back. Now the wait begins...which she said would take between 3-5 days. This is really happening.....WOW!!! I'm starting to get excited now.
You are wrong for that.
