hello, my name is lisa. i have thought about making this journey for quite some time but i have always found a way to talk myself out of it. after a year filled with quite a bit of anguish and disappointment, i have decided it is time for me to change my life. in september '07, while working, i injured my back and had to have emergency surgery. i ruptured a disc in my back which came lose and lodged itself in my spinal column. the reult of which caused me to lose all use and feeling in my right leg. time has passed and i am still dealing with the back problem, however i have gained quite a bit of weight. i need to lose this weight and take some pressure off my back.
i am in for a long journey but i am fortunate to have my loving husband and two beautiful daughters supporting me. they are my biggest cheerleaders (note to all, don't tell my husband i called him a cheerleader).
i am hoping to share my experience with others and help others who are starting this journey understand what is to come. i also want to learn from others who have already made this journey. thank you all for taking the time to read my story. much love and success to all!
