Hi everyone !!

I'm Renee', the admin. of this new group.  My friends & family call me Nae'.  I'm 45 years old, married & have an 18 year old daughter.

I had my WLS (the Sleeve) on January 29th, 2013 & I've dropped -100 pounds.  My weight loss has come to a screeching halt.  The surgery has done it's job & now the rest is up to me.

My background:  I have been on one diet after another all of my adult life only to work my way UP the scale...all the way up to 302 pounds.  A visit to the doctor's office, brought me to a doctor who asked me if I've ever considered weight loss surgery.  Needless to say, I was above & beyond angry.  Who did this guy think he was?  He didn't know me; my life; my life-long struggle & dieting...how dare he suggest 'the easy way out'.  Little did I know, the 'seed' was planted & soon, I started a journey that would change my life (for the better/healthier).  In August of 2012, I made the first of many appointments with Dr. Mark Smolik.  Then, all my homework began.  I was not going into this without knowing all that I could on this surgery.  I was even lucky enough to meet a lady (now a friend) who had the actual surgery.

I welcome each & everyone of you !!  My hope for this group is that we can learn from one another, support each other & make this life-long journey together !!
