Only three years since my surgery and I am considering revision surgery. The Dr I have chosen will only do sleeve to RNY. I really didn't want this due to malabsorbtion issues, but I do not want to be fat! My clothes no longer fit and I am back to a tight size 16. I am also self pay and the money does not come easy. Keep me in prayer as I decide what to do. 

 

I am disappointed in my weight loss. I self payed for surgery which was a big deal for me. The money did not come easy. I only lost 60 pounds keeping my carbs down, my protein and liquids up, and following instructions taught.  I still had over 50 more pounds to lose. After about 16 months I felt defeated and started eating more unhealthy foods and have gained back 17 pounds. I talked to my Dr's coordinator and it will cost the same as the first surgery for a resleeve or more for a change to DS or RNY.  Not sure where to go from here.

Three weeks out I am down 20 pounds. People are starting to notice I am losing weight. :) My incisions are almost completely healed now. Not hungry at all, just fighting getting enough protein and water in. BM's are not regular yet, but I am sure that will get better.
