"On first impression I felt put out, kinda like " okay, you are fat, and this is what I will do for you !" Minimal explanation of the surgery. Over time, I gained more respect for him and what he does to help heavy people. His office staff are helpful, especially his nurse Shirley, she had the surgery performed by him and I saw before and after pictures of her. I originally felt that he was very cocky, but I later came to see it as self assurance. He is very good at what he does, and it appears to be well worth the wait to have the procedure done. He very much encourages SUPPORT GROUPS, in fact I was just informed that he is leaving Cooper Medical Center in March and will be joining Our Lady Of Lordes Hospital because they will offer his patients Support Groups on campus. He infomed me of the risks, especially that of possible death, even though it is rare. I had some complicatons after surgery, but weeks later and after much thought I would rate him about a 9 on a scale of 1-10. I feel as though surgical competence and bedside manner are important, they go hand in hand, those that have both will go much further in the medical field."
