"Dr. Capella is a genuine man who wants to help people. My first impression is he does this type of surgery from his heart and not his pocket. His office staff has been very patient with me, as it was necessary to change dates, insurance companies, etc. I never felt like I had questions whether they were medical or procedural that went unanswered. I did not however appreciate waiting hours beyond my scheduled appointment time when I had an office visit, however, I guess this happens.
Dr. Capella discussed surgical risks in general, as well as his experience. Having performed over 2400 of these procedures and only losing three patients. The procedure he performs is a VBG-gastric bypass. It is a combination procedure which he has perfected. I respect his professionalism, in that he will only perform the procedure open, to limit the time the patient is under anesthesia, and to be provided with an unobstructed view during the procedure."
