I will be 6 mos post-op here in about a week. I have lost 101 lbs and it is amazing but not without a hicup or two.  I fought with my dr for about 10 weeks knowing that I had a stricture but just got the response that I wasn't following the rules, which obviously I have been or I wouldn't have lost the weight that I have.  Finally he took me in for an endoscopy against his wishes and what did you know, stricture so tight that he couldn't pass the scope, dilated and didn't know how much I was missing out on. 
I have discovered some great recipes that are fun to make and just as enjoyable to eat.  Have learned how to go out to eat, my 4 year old can usually share a meal and have enough for lunch the next day.  I am a really cheap date these days. which my husband doesn't complain about, we are able to save money.
So far so good, no regrets other than I didn't do it sooner.  Now for the next 40 lbs or so, lets see what the next 6 mos has to offer.
