11 Days post op feeling much better but still not like my old self.  Gained a little in the hospital from all the IV fluids, but am down 29 pounds from that its really hard to say what weight to start counting so i will say this 254/269/240  so that would be 254 pre surgery 269 post op 240 now still all in all that is sooooooooooooo cool.Having a struggle getting that 80grams of protein in but vitamins seem to be ok.  I have been on blended food sense Tuesday but really have only had 2 blended meals.  I am glad to be free of Halloween it was really nice was not even tempted to eat the left over Halloween Candi or dip into my kids Candi thank GOD for that.  I go to see my surgeon on the Thursday the 20th of Nov. for a four week post op check up, where he says we will talk about my vitamins more in depth.  It really sucks that we have to drive four hours to see him and four hours back.  So much has happened in our house over the last month that it seems more like two or three months have gone by the day after my surgery our daughter (fourth in line of six) turned 16 and our two oldest boy 18 and 19 are moving out today to start their journey into adulthood so exciting i remember the day i did that seems so long ago.  Of course that still leaves four at home 18,16,14.12.  So for now we still have a house full.  New goals for myself are to get all 80grams of protein in and all the recommended vitamins in as well as to increase my water intake so as not to get dehydrated.  Oh yeah, to re enter my life (slowly of course)  i am so done with of staying home and resting.  I still am currently doing the recommended 15 min. 3 times a day on the treadmill.

Yeah, I have been approved by my Insurance so its a go.  Just when i was at my pre op visit with my surgeon he said my white blood cell count was high and sent me back to have my blood drawn again.  So hopefully that was nothing and my Surgery will be a go on Oct. 21, 2008.  I cant wait.

Well I just checked my insurance company on line and my surgery has been submitted and is pending review with them so here is praying.  I have a date already set,  I have pre-ops on the 6th of October and the Surgery is set for the 21st of October.  My surgeons office said they saw no problem getting approved.

I see my surgeon on Oct 6 for my two week pre-op and My surgery is Scheduled for Oct. 21 2008 @ 11:00Am .  All though it has not been officially approved through my insurance company my surgeons office see no real problem getting it approved. God willing i will be on the loosing side of the bench on Oct.22

well i have one more test an Upper endoscopy then i have completed all the test required from my surgeon we have a tentative surgery date of October 21 i am so excited and scared at the same time still need to loose 11 more pounds hope and by the grace of God i can get there.

I am just finishing up all the pre surgery test and looking at a date of October 21, 2008  for Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass I am 38 yrs old and I have six children ranging in age from 19 to 12.  I have been overweight since i was ten yrs old, although never this overweight i miss life.
