Hi! My name is Nissa. I have been married 21 yrs. & have 4 children. b20, g17, b16, g13. We have 4 dogs, 4 chinchillas, 3 birds, bearded dragon.I became overweight while pregnant with my first child. 7 yrs ago, I lost over 100 lbs. to only gain it back plus some in 6 yrs. I started my research for wls in 07. I decided that the rny was the best option for me. I have Dr. Medlin from Duluth, MN. He had the gastric sleeve done on himself. He looks great & has the knowledge plus experience to perform his job well.
He said my surgery went great. I was very nausous when I came through but with the help of meds that passed in 15 hrs. I slept that whole time anyhow. Days 1-2 were fine with getting down most of my required liquids & no pain. Days 3-4 were very hard for me to get down liquids on 15 oz out of the 40 oz required. Also, on day 4 I was constipated but thanks to Milk Of Magnesia that was taken care of easily. The 4 night I started a cough & it continued through day 5 & that's all I have for now. So far today I have consumed 18 oz of liquids.
