I took early retirement Sept. 07 (my husband had already been retired for 3 years) and we worked very hard at getting our home ready to sell. Then we plan to buy a motorhome and travel this great land of ours - seeing all places of interest (both on and off the 'beaten path) and meeting many new and interesting people. We just know there are special people we're destined to meet!

In the meantime, I decided was the perfect opportunity for me to get healthy so that I can actually ENJOY our adventures; so had laprascopic gastric bypass.  My "rebirth" took place on January 22, 2008.  I'm very excited and looking forward to being healthy and active again!  I would like to lose 120 pounds, but it really isn't so much what the scales say, I'm really mostly focused on the health aspect - being able to walk comfortably and regain some stamina!

I'm extremely pleased with my surgeon - and have the best patient advocate one could imagine.  I attend an awesome support group weekly, as well as personal support from friends and family as well - all of which I am tremendously grateful.

More to come . . .

Blessings galore!
Diane
