Well it has been 48 days since my surgery. And I am just now getting time to post online what has been going on in my life.

My hospital stay was good (what I remember of it). But when I finally got home is when I started to feel great. I did not get sick and had energy. I ate slowly for the first week. I was afraid to make myself sick. Even though I had a lot of energy I still slept a lot. I started at 274.4 this was my official but the day before my surgery I weighed 280 that was on September 19, 2001. My first weigh in date was October 22 and I weighed in at 252. I have lost 22.2 pounds!!!! A slow start, but at least it is a start. I went to the doctor on November 5th just to weigh in and I am down to 247! That’s 27.2 pounds gone forever. I am sad about the slow loss of weight. But I am thankful I am loosing.

16 Feb 2002 I am know almost 5 months post op and down 74 pounds. I weigh 210. I am slowly loosing.....but I am loosing!!!! I am so thankfull for this life changing event. And for my WONDERFULL Doctor (Dr. Henry Pearce) and his great staff!!!

21 March 2002 I am now 6 months post-op and I feel great!! I am at 205 and I am slowly but surly saying goodbye to OBESITY forever!!!

16 April 2002 I just got back for weighing in. And I know weigh an amazing 197!!!! ME!!!! I WEIGH LESS THAN 200 POUNDS!! I have not weighed that in about ten years!!! I am so excited!!!

24 April 2002 I went to a seminar 2 days ago to talk about my weight loss and I was asked how much I have lost. I started to tell her that last week when I weighed I was at.....And my Doctor said, you didnt weigh today? I said no. He took me back and I now weigh a week later 192!!! I lost 5 pounds in a week. He smiled at me and said, 12 more pounds till 100. I was in shock!! He is right!!! I am almost at 100 pounds lost!! OH HAPPY DAY!!!

01 May 2002 I have a confession to make, I am an addict! I have become so addicted to weighing myself that I broke my new digital scale! How silly is that? It is not even a year old. Well I tried to use it this morning to see what I weighed and of course it being broken said I weighed 203. I was so sad all day, I know it is broken but to see 203 was awful after working so hard to be under 200. Well I went to the Doctors office to just step on their scale (see I told you in am an addict) and it said I am at 188!! I am 8 pounds away from 100!!! WOW and I so excited!!! What a great ending to a not so great day.

19 September 2002 I have been so busy living my "normal" life I have forgot to update. On 8-30-2002 I had a tummy tuck done. I was sore for a few days but up and walking after 4 days. I have a full anchor done but the scar is so tiny!!! I am thrilled with it!!! Dr.Pearce who did my RNY Did my TT as well
