"First surgery was a RNY done in December 2001. I lost 160 lbs and then regained 60 over the next 8 years, but did keep off 100 which was good. I never reached my goal which deep down always bothered me.
Last year I started to research revision surgeries and then when I found out I was going to have to have an open hernia repair, I seriously pursued a revision. I had my first appt. with Dr. Stewart in January and loved him from the start. Very straight forward but I could tell had a kind heart. I was approved right after I completed the 3 month program with him and my RNY to DS surgery was on May 3, 2010.
I am not out 8 months and down 98 lbs. I feel great! I had some real minor issues about the third month or so but they went away. My 6 month blood work showed all my levels where they were supposed to be but a little low in iron. I was thrilled! Will post again soon! "
