Yikes, the potassium must be low...
Oct 05, 2010
Wow, trying to walk is difficult. Cramping in both calves with each step. Heart palpitations. Tingling. Constipation. These symptoms can only mean one thing: hypokalemia.I called my PCP and noted my symptoms. He thought I might have a DVT, but the presentation is in both calves and there is no swelling, heat or lumps bilaterally.
Back to the lab tomorrow for a few more blood tests and I will no doubt be on a potassium supplement by the end of the morning. On a good note, my H & H have improved: from 7/22 to 10/29. Much better, but still with a ways to go.
And all I want is a cup of cheese soup!
