Well a lot has happened to me. My weight started at 333 I had surgery on March 19th It really was not as bad as a c-section. I had the lap RNY. My mom and dad came from New Jersey to help me. I really didn't want anyone to know. I told my sisters and my brother and his familly knew. I felt a little embaresed. I must tell you I come from a very close Italian familly. So my mom and I are in the car and she gets a phone call from her friend Carol in South Carolina. She is praying for me. MOM I thought I told you I didn't want any one to know. Its just her girlfriend Carol. So I said OK. I come out of surgery and go to my room and I woke up to 2 dozen Red Roses from My wonderful husband. Who was with me the whole time we are very happily married 18 years on April 22. Both my sisters send me flowers. And I start getting phone calls from all my Aunts and cousins on the east cost. It was so nice to know how many people are praying for me, and love me. And support me on my journey. They all just want me to be happy and healthy. And I am so glad my mom couldn't keep a secret. The whole East Cost knows. And my best friend Ann came to see me too. I found out its not so bad to tell people about the surgery. I have lost 34lbs. I THANK GOD for Dr.Sonnanstine every day for my happy and knew life. I feel reborn. talk soon . If any one has any questions. Please don't hesitate to ask . I will help if I can. I have been there.
I am 49 years young and about to have wls. I started looking into this about 2 years ago. I met my surgeon in April of 2006 nice guy. Went to all the classes and was denied by my insurence company twice. I barrowed the money from my brother. He really thinks I should have this done. He is a doctor. My Surgery date is March 19 2007. Wish me luck.

I am 48 years old. My weight is 322 lbs. . Anyway I start the prossess. I got a pcp I had been getting chest pains. And she did blood work and I told here I wanted to do Weight Loss surgery. I have had eokocardeogram, Sleep Apnea test. (I do have Server Sleep Apnea) stress test for my heart a referral to a bariactric Surgeon I have met him my appointment date was on 4/13/06. He was very nice. And his Staff was equally nice as well. I tried to go in as prepared as possible. I went with all my past history records I had of places where I tried to lose weight. This was very helpful to the billing department who has to submit a letter to my Insurance Company. The next step is the surgeon starts you going to a nutritionist,a psychological Evaluation,Nutritional Evaluation, and a golblater ultra Sound. Till next time...

I have a gollblater ultra sound tomorrow. And I have gone to see the nutritionist. I hope I get approved I am so worried about it. Oh!
and I go to get my C-PAP machine on Friday. Till next time...

Today I go for my secound nutritional class. Last week was tast test week. We had different flavor protien drinks. They were Ok.
