3 mth update

Jun 23, 2007

I made it to 3 months the time has gone by very fast!  I missed my dr appt for my 3 mth check up :( and they cant get me in till 7/26 over a month later. kinda stinks but whatever. I think I am doing pretty good. I read other peoples profiles and think I am a slow loser. I have lost about 70 pounds now, one day it says 70-71 the next day back up 2-3 pounds, I have gotten my monthly the past 3 months and that really sucks! I havent had periods for about 5 years, I was taking birth control then got pg. and then with the iud i really hadnt had one. so this is hard for me to get use to.
I can tell a big difference in my body some days, then other days I feel like a huge cow still :(
my clothes are getting too big. I can see the most change in my face.. ok gonna add a few pics. thanks for reading and please email me if have any questions for me. or just want to comment
take care,
Donna

Ok, Im not that good with writing but after reading so many profiles and the encouragment it gives me I would like to be of some assitance to someone too. I am a 30 year old wife and mom to 3 girls. I decided to get this surgery about 2 years ago june 2005. after receiving my referral I tried 1 more time to do it on my own, that of course didnt work. June of 2006 I really went for it, I had to complete 24 weeks of classes at Kaiser, I was not happy about that at first but now I am so glad I did that it was the best thing for me. they got me 110% ready for this surgery. It was not easy for me to make the decision and hard to complete the classes, I had to juggle kids, and with my dh working graveyard it was hard. luckliy I had my sister to help me and my mom and dh. fast forward 24 weeks, got all my tests done, went to support groups, seen the surgeon, and soon after got my date it would have been 4 weeks from the graduation of my class but I had to wait a week so on the 5th week after I finished my classes I was in the operating room. that was the scariest thing ever! I plan on writing about my surgery day soon. thanks for reading this far. I would be very glad to hear from any pre/post ops. Donna
