Today is an exciting day for me !  I am almost 3 months post-op and I am half way to my goal!  What a feeling!!  It has actually been easier than I thought.  I do have trouble getting my fluids/protein in, but I am doing it!

Well, today is day 4 of my post-op...  I will have to admit that at times this is harder than I had imagined.  I didn't think by any means that this would be easy or a "quick fix".  But, geesh it's tough.  I am so looking forward to Monday when I can start having tomato soup and skim milk...  woo hoo!    It's the little things in life you start looking forward to!  I think other than the stupid chicken broth the hardest thing is how tired I am!   

My new theme is each day is a new day!  I am excited that I am down 14 lbs already!

Well, it is hard to believe but with just a couple of hiccups my case got it's approval!!!   I actually have a surgery date of 9/20!  That is only one week away!  That is if I can get rid of this stupid cold!  (I'm crossing my finger!)  I went to the store today and picked up my vitamins!  So, I am all set now!!  I am getting a tiny bit nervous, which I am sure if normal!!!  So, next time I blog hopefully everything will have gone smoothly! 

This is my first attempt at blogging my journey to weight loss!  As I sit here today, my file has finally gone to insurance for approval!  I am hoping for a quick turn around as my timeline when my parents will be here is closing in!  So everyone keep your fingers crossed! 

I really cannot believe how quickly everything has gone!  The slowest thing was actually getting the reports faxed in from all the other doctor's!  Other than that, I have been really fortunate.  I started this journey on July 27, 2010.  So, to be this close in less than a month and a half is great!  If I was still in NY it would take a year to get from start to finish! 

So, this is if for my first blog!  I will be sure to blog some more later!
