I had LapBand surgery in February of 2012. I was 210 (after having lost 80+ pounds and keeping it off for 5 years, I gained it all back when I moved to MA alone, and was comforted during the frigid winter with take out and red wine) and got down to 140. However, about a year after surgery, I was throwing up nearly everything I ate. It got worse and worse, so I researched my options and found sleeve to be a better choice for me. It was not approved in the US, at the time because my BMI was 32/33, so my surgeon suggested that I go to Mexico. I had gained about 35 pounds (Total = 175), and was so distraught over the hate I had developed with food. I researched for a few weeks, booked a flight, and had my revision surgery on Monday January 25th. So far, I can already tell that it was the best decision I could have made. I am healing better from this surgery, I have no foreign obtjects in my body, and I already don't experience nearly the pain or discomfort that I did with the band. Also, the lack of feeling hungry makes it much easier to align my brain with my body when it comes to food choices and nutrition.

2 week post-op and I am already thrilled and wishing I had known about this when I got my band. I would definitley have gotten sleeved instead.
