"Most staff were slow to respond. When I called for a resp therapist to check my ox saturation, it took 45 mins to get someone in the room. I had to call 3 times. I had to ask for juice and broth the morning after. Didn't get a tray. I will say that I don't recall being asked if I needed anything when I did interact with the staff. Noone ever looked at my incisions, check my lungs etc....But, being a nurse I just managed my ownself pretty much. Had a wonderful private duty nurse with me at all times!! My hubby was the greatest help! Their use of the intercom was extremely LOUD and excessive. Couldn't sleep for being awakened with them practically Yelling in my ears! They never asked me if I wanted to walk, etc. As I think about it, they were not the best place I've stayed as a patient. I'd hate to be a patient there that had any issues develop that didn't know enough to bring it to someone's attention. It could be a bad scenario, for sure."
"Busy, but friendly. Same impression each time I have seen him, but his office staff seems to really be on the ball when it comes to tracking progress of labs, tests, xrays, etc. Haven't heard much but good stuff about Dr. Barker.....we'll see? My surgery in 3 days on the 16th of July!!!"
