Well I had my consultation with Dr. Nye today and I must say that it was everything I expected. He answered all of my questions (most before I even asked) and even told me several things I wouldn't have thought to ask. His staff is wonderful. They are going to apply for my insurance approval this week so I'm crossing my fingers. If all goes well it looks like I'll have a date in the third week of July :) I had my psych evaluation several weeks ago as well as basic blood work, chest xrays, and the H-pylori test he requested. I was not told that I needed a 3 week food diary so I have to start that tomorrow. The only further testing that I will need is more thorough blood work and a sonogram to determine if he will take my gall bladder out or not. What I was most pleased about is the fact that he is able to do the lap RNY with only one 2-3 inch opening. "
