Pammied
Hello! My name is Pam. I am 41 years old. I have been married to a wonderful man, Rodney, for the past 16 years. We have 2 handsome boys, Robbie - 15 & Joshua -10. I have struggled with my weight since the birth of my oldest son. I weighed 155lbs when I got pregnant with him. I have tried Weight Watchers, Atkins, pills, low-fat, low-carb, low-cal, etc. They all worked for a short time. However when I stopped following the plans, I gained it all back plus more. I started researching WLS in January 2007, when a co-worker had the surgery. I went to a group informational meeting with Dr Enochs and that is when I knew that this was the right decision for me. I have been told for the past couple of years by my PCP that I was borderline diabetic and I needed to get the weight off. I watched my Grandmother fight all of the horrible things associated with diabetes and I do not want to go there. I am a cardiac nurse and I feel a little insecure when telling my patients they need to watch their diet and lose weight when I haven't been able to do it myself. I go to bed after working my 12 hr shifts with my legs feeling like they are going to pop from the swelling and the aching. My back and hips hurt continuously. I eat Rolaids like candy from the reflux. I can't enjoy walks with my husband due to the shortness of breath. I need the assistance of WLS to get healthy for myself and my family! Thanks for the interest in following me on this journey to a healthy me!!!
