KATRINA~~ WOW! 130 pounds in less than a year... You are AWESOME! I'm sorry to hear about all the difficulties that you've had in your life this past year. I hope that you are making it through it OK.

Trina, I am so sorry for your loss. My mother passed away very suddenly almost 3 years ago, it was a total shock to my whole family. I know that there is nothing to ease your pain but time. Know this....you will always feel the loss, but you won't feel so lost. God Bless Lori

Katrina, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I hope that you will allow yourself to grieve while nourishing your body properly. It's terrific that you are so close to goal, but take good care of yourself. You are in my prayers.

Katrina , First things first, Give yourself a BIG HUG!! 100 lbs how cool is that. When I read your post I went to your first comments before surgery and I noticed you mentioned that this is a tool. Well my husband is a body repairman and he takes very good care of his tools or he won't have an income So maybe you need to remember that your tool needs a little TLC. I will live by this thinking before, during and after my surgery. By the way we pre-ops admire you post ops out there and feed on your strength and sucesses. Don't let your tool down!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Best wishes you are truly beautiful!!!

Ok, folks, Trina has tooted her horn, now it's my turn! This is Karen and for the 1st time in my life I am honestly Trina's big sister - she's almost always been bigger than me but now it ain't so! I'm loving the opportunity to watch her melt away...everyday is a little bit more and every day that cocoon opens up wider and she comes out a bit farther. I'm so proud of you Katrina Mendoza! You are an inspiration to me; the wind beneath my wings I think someone once said. What is the greatest thing about this surgery? For me I have to just be open and say that it has truly brought Trina and I closer together - I mean we've always been sisters but that was by birth and now, by choice, we're friends and she's the best one I've ever had! Keep rockin baby sister! and by the way...can I borrow that new shirt you just got?????? oh, wait, never mind, it's probably too small! (betcha never thought I would say that huh?!!) I love you baby.
