I went to Dr. Sweeny & Shepperds Information Session. They Didn't tell me anything I already didn't know. I have been researching RNY for 18 months now, plus I see the life style of my sister and that helps me alot to see whats to come. Well, I did find out about one thing in this info session. Mini-Bypass is a RIP-OFF (Quoting Dr. Shepperd)... I guess I will stick to the traditional RNY. Also, I had a really bad ingrown toenail removed today. Both sides of my left toe were really bad. Each piece of nail taken out was 1" x .5" >:0( Already, we'll I'll keep you updated on my journey.

I'M BACK WITH A BROKE BACK. Hehehehehehe..... Hi ya'll... my weight is kiling me... I have started to feel them pounds in my knees, like the cartriledge and stuff... It's been a while since I last logged in. Since then, I have changed insurance companies... I now have United Healthcare - choice plus... They have no requirements / qualifications for RNY and most of the people that have used it to finance the procedure have gotten approved between 1 to 3 weeks!!! They will also cover 90% of the procedure costs after a 300 dll deductible... so I guess it's alright... Let me tell you, I went to the movies this weekend, and It was a pain to try and fit into those tinnie seats... well, tomorrow I have my info session with Dr. Sweeny @ St. Lukes Hospital. I'll keep ya'll updated and hopefully I am approved and get a date soon.

Last week I went to visit my PCP. The reason: Referral to a specialist. She referred me to a nose/ear doctor and took some blood samples. She made some quick pen and paper calculations and estimated that I was over weight by 120 lbs! Today, I also arrived back from my 9 day vacation. I spent my days in the RGV (South Texas Valley - Brownsville). I had a blast, makes me wonder what in the world I am doing so far from home. Ohh well, I am back to my routine... uggghhh.

First of all, let me introduce myself. I am Letty A.'s little brother. I am a bhm hehehehe j/k. I am 19 yrs old and weigh at exactly 300 big ones. Seriously, I am happy that way I look, but health reasons is the primary reason if I decide to go thru with the surgery. I would like to thank everyone for their support. I am in the "so so" stage right now because of all the pain and suffering that I've seen that happens during the recovery period. As of right now I've learned that no one likes the nasal tube, and that gas is a problem that no one likes, but NO one has complained about the results. I've talked to my insurance company, and they said that my employer does cover the costs, except for a small co-pay. Hopefully I'll be able to get a date soon.
