Hello all.. I'm new to this site and HOPING that someone can help me out.. I just received Medi-Cal insurance and waiting to choose an HMO plan. I live in Los Angeles county and looking for a Medical provider who accepts MediCal with an HMO for instance (bluecross ect.ect.) I called MediCal directly and they DO in fact cover the surgery procedure AS LONG as the doctor submits authorization form showing why I would need the surgery. I'm 5'7'' and 310lbs my BMI is over 48.. I think I qualify.. MY QUESTION is.. has anyone in my area who has MediCal (not medicare) received the surgery and if so what did you do to get it?
