Had my Pre-Operative information session at the hospital, it was interesting to see others going to go through the same thing as I am.

Had appointement for consult with Dr. Christou at Royal Victoria Hospital.  Dr. Christou explained the different types of surgeries and the long wait for surgery in Québec (surgery is coverd by medicare or as it is called here R.A.M.Q), 2 to 2-1/2 years wait for a laparoscopic RNY. 
Left office very overwhelmed and a little discouraged...
2-1/2 years is so far away that it does not seem real...

Finally mailed out questionnaire of 20-something pages filled out with my life history...
Was in denial and probably a little embarrased that I couldn't take control of my life, so I kept finding excuses that I did not have the time or didn't have all the answers on my medical history... So I kept putting it off, well no more!
Will be contacted if eligible for WLS... And the waiting game begins... :-)
