I wish to tell my story of my surgery. I've been reading posts on this site for months. I have honestly not seen my story on here before. I had it easy with my one week pre-op. I had real food, there is no way I could have done all liquids for a week.
I had my surgery scheduled for 230 in the afternoon, We drove to the hospital, soon as I got there they were waiting for me to start. They took me into a room, did my IV (no problem) , doc stopped in asked if I had any questions. I should say I'm an RN so been around the hospital a bit. I had no nerves or anxiety about anything. but I digress.
Went into surgery, woke up, felt a little sore moving around had some left shoulder pain (gas) started burping and continued to burp for several days. never passed gas for days. no pain. Everyone tells you about how bad the gas pain is Brought the gas X, but never used it..
They let me start sipping water. did fine with that.I asked the nurse if I could walk the hallway, she said yes, I'll come with you. When I left her 1/2 a length behind, she stopped and said you don't need me. went to bed, slept well, next morning doc came in, I told him I was walking and he said you sound ready to go home. And so I did. I slept on and off the next 24 hours.All in all, it was a great experience, no pain, no discomfort, easy peasy, nothing to it. So all you newbies, Just do it.
1-18-13 Just broke an 18 day stall, down 3 more pounds.
2-18-13 I have been playing with the same 2 pounds for 2 weeks. up/down/up/down. Well this morning finally broke that. down 2 pounds, new low! yah!!
