Today I had my surical consult. It went very well. I love Dr. Bollman. He is nice and very professional. Today was a great day. I met with my nut. and she said things are looking good.
Then the nurse at Dr. Bollman's office said. .  . . May 31st. . .That's my date!! 
WOOHOO!!! I have a date!!!!!!

Well , Today when I get to work, Rhonda at Liv-Lite calls and says 
"Lori- This is the day"  I screamed!!! I got my approval. After submitting paperwork twice, I was getting worried that I might never get the surgery. Once again the Lord showed me that how wonderful He is and I owe all praise and glory to HIM!! Thank you, LORD!

My consult with surgeon is May 1st and my Pre-op testing is May 2nd. 
Rhonda says surgery should be late May or early June.

Ok, so I called Liv-Lite today and Pam told me that the Ins Co called w/ a question but that we would have an answer by Wednesday this week. Oh! Please! Lord let this be it! Pamm said that if they came back with approval, that my surgery would be in July. Well that's almost a date. . I think!

Well, last night when I got home from work there was a message on the answering mach. that my program director had talked to the ins. co and that they would have an answer in a week to 10 days. This is the second time we have submitted so I will just sit here and wait.

Ok, now i can post, 
since I am done pouting!
It all went like this:
One week after we had submitted my paperwork to the Ins. Co.,
 I got a call from Rhonda @ Liv-Lite, I had been denied. What ?!! Are you kidding me? Why?
Rhonda tells me that the Psych Eval that the Psychologist ASSURED me I had passed, I FAILED!!!!
I called  Dr. D to find out why she felt I was not sane. . (HA HA, I didn't tell her EVERYTHING!, just kidding!) She informed that "in her opinion, I had issues and that she would need to see me for "AN UNDETERMIND AMOUNT OF SESSIONS"
What a crock! 
I immediately called my program manager (the wonderful .  . .Rhonda) and explained my conversation with Dr. Nutcase!
They informed that I could get a second opinion and go from there.
Well after a week of crying and pouting, I decided to go ahead and request another psych eval and then see what my options were at that point.
The new dr. was a very nice lady in Manhattan named Dr. Howe. She made me feel very comfortable and really listened to me. At the end of our session, I was confident that if I had failed, it wasn't because the dr. didn't have my best interest at heart. Before leaving, Dr. Howe, asked me a few more questions, and then told me she felt I was a good candidate for WLS and that if I felt vunerable or sad, to call someone. YEAH!!
Ok, now we're getting somewhere, 
so, it is April 6th and all the paperwork is ready,again! Rhonda lets me know that she will be re-submitting on , Monday, April 9th
Now we wait. 

I just spoke with Ronda at Liv-Lite and they received all my paperwork and I passed my psych eval.  Boy, I was a little worried there for a few days.  Anyway they are submitting the paperwork to the Ins. Co. today. They said it takes about 2 weeks. I hope I don't drive my self crazy waiting!

Well, we finally got the ins  and it is aetna. I called my surgeon yesterday about 2 seconds after i faxed the paperwork in!! I talked to Rhonda at Liv-Lite and she was submitting the info to ins company. I already have the Dr. supervised diet on my charts for 8 months in a 12 month period. Rhonda mentioned a pych eval. but I am not worried. My kind of crazy is easy to hide. LOL 
Now I begin the wait. I am feeling really positive but I have watched the other posts so, I know I may have to wait and possibly fight ins. But, again, Today I am  just going to be postive.
