"Having my surgery done with Dr. Vanderbilt at Memorial Hospital was amazing. I had been doing research on the surgery for a number of years prior to my first visit to the WLS seminar so I had an idea of what to expect there. Seeing him there I had a feeling that I wanted him to perform the surgery. The surgery was done well enough that I was able to get up on my own as soon as I woke from the surgery and use the washroom and from then on had not had even one complication. I was back to work within a week. The Dr. and staff were very friendly and worked to meet all my needs.rnShortly after my surgery there were a few problems in my life in general and I had moved out of the area. I have not seen the Dr or any of the WLS staff at Memorial maybe since December 2003 (around two months after surgery). In a short time I lost an unbelievable ammount of weight in a very short time frame. I was going to the gym for a couple hours a day.rnMy 3yr. anniversay will be coming up at the end of October. I have in the past 1 and a half years since the surgery gained about 30-40lbs back. My past and current situations keep me from being able to access the help available at Memorial or help where I am currently located."
