"Dr. Gornichec is a very caring, thorough, professional surgeon. He requires you to attend a seminar which is extremely informative. He fully addressed the risks of surgery and aftercare. He is very kind with his approach but also very straight-forward (he told me I had to quit smoking or he wouldn't do the surgery, I believed him and quit!). I would rate him a 10+ overall and would highly recommend him to anyone considering lapband, which is the weight loss procedure I had done. I would say his bedside manner and surgical competence are of equal comparision, he is very compassionate but also very sure of his ability to do the procedure successfully, which is what I needed to gain confidence in the surgeon I chose. His staff is wonderful as well, although I would say they are short-staffed at this point. It took a few days to return phone calls, so I found it was easier to stop by his office in person."
