I am 27 years old, I have been obese for about 20 years of my life. I am currently, I weigh 275 lbs, and I am 5'8. I have highblood pressure, I am border line diabetic, have constant back pain, and get migraines aleast once a week. I am glad that me and my primary care doctor felt that WLS seems like the best solution.

4/10/03 - TODAY I HAD MY CONSULTATION WIHT MY SURGEON, I MUST SAY IT WENT VERY WELL, I AM HAVING LAPORSCOPIC GASTRIC BYPASS. MONDAY I FIND OUT WHAT DAY IS MY SURGERY.

07/16/03 - TODAY MY SURGEONS OFFICE CALLED ME THEY HAD A CANCELLATION AND THEY MOVED MY DATE TO JULY 28,2003, I AM EXCITED AND VERY NERVOUS. WISH ME LUCK.

07/27/03 - ITS THE NIGHT BEFORE MY SURGERY TO A NEW HEALTHIER AND THINNER ME. I MUST SAY THAT PHOSO-SODA STUFF IS NASTY BUT IT SURE DOES WORK FAST. I'M NOT YET NERVOUS BUT I KNOW AS SOON AS I GET THERE I WILL BE, BUT THE FASTER I GO THE FASTER I CAN RECOVER. I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO SEND ME THERE PRAYERS AND GOOD WISHES. I WILL UPDATE EVERYONE AS SOON AS I CAN.

08/28/03 - Today i am one month post op and i am down 45 pounds,
i weighed 275 and now i am 230 lbs, i dont feel i look it yet but other people see it. Its been hard i can tell you something never let anyone think wls is the easy way out, i have had many ups and downs, i wasnt drinking enough, i dry heave for no reason, but then you have your good days and those are the days you feel that the wls was well worth it.

11/09/03 - I am a little over 3 months post-op and i am down a total of 70lbs, i now weigh 205. I still have some problems tolerating meat but its getting better its just gonna take a litte longer than i expected it to.

12/28/03 - Today makes me 5 months post-op, i have lost a total of 85lbs. I am starting to lose weight slower now but as long as it still comes off i dotn care how slow it is.
