Maintaining

Jan 24, 2011

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing good. I am 8months post-op from Gastric bypass RNY. Last month I had seen the dietitian and she told me not to loose anymore weight that it was time to start work on maintaining. So she told me to go back and add  protein shakes in to my diet. I did maybe three times a week. I do my exercises daily on the Wii. Well I went back and saw the dietitian today and I have lost 7.5 pounds since I saw her last time. My weight is 123.5 She says a good weight for me is 135 which means I have to gain about 12 pounds just the thought of gaining after so long of working on loosing is making me worried. What happens if I start and can't stop? She also wants me to work on 1200 cal a day and to eat 4 or 5 times day with the protein shakes and the protein bars. If anyone has any suggestions I really could use some help on what to eat my biggest problem is breakfast and lunch. I have no problem with supper That is easy because that is the meal I cook for the whole family. I have a 23 month old boy and I try to make a breakfast and lunch that both he and I can eat.  Thanks Everyone.

I Did It!!!!!

Nov 07, 2010

I did it!!!!! I never expected this to go so fast, I thought  it would  at least take me a year. Even the doctors are impressed how fast this has happened to me.  I am five months out with RNY gastric bypass and I am down 77 pounds since surgery i am at my ideal weight and my BMI is normal.  I started this whole process last October and all together i have lost 99 pounds. Now is the part of maintaining my weight. I am so excited and happy i never thought i would ever be this small again.
