Today I'm 13 days out and I'm feeling great! I'm making the transition to pureed/mushy food and meat!! YES LORD!!!! MEAT!!! I have been doing liquids for 3 weeks and I'm so excited today because I cooked my very own 2 oz med rare sirloin and chopped it so finely a baby could've eaten it!!!!!!  It was to die for!  It went down well and stayed there so I'm great!  I've found that when the doc says no straws, chew 20+ times, don't drink 30 min before or after......IT IS FOR MY MY GOOD!!!! NOT JUST TALK!!! I'm so sorry for not having faith in you Dr. Dirk!!!!!  Eating too fast and drink to early leads to FIRE!!! HEARTBURN CITY!!! and lets not even talk about the hiccups!!  lol....All in all I'm figuring it out.  I've lost 21 lbs since surgery and I thank God for all of his benefits!! 

Surgery is schedule for November 1st.  I have two midterms that week and I'm trying to get my professors to allow me to take them early.  If not, I'll reschedule surgery for November 8th.  I know what you're thinking...why not just go ahead and schedule for the 8th???  I don't want to wait...not even one more week.  LOL!!!!!  I'm so excited.  Pre-op diet appointment and preop surgery appt are scheduled for this week.  WHOOHOO!!!!!!
