I purchased a set of weight scales that can track your progress to your goal weight, body hydration and body fat. Really cool and not bad priced either!!!
Update!!!! 3/23/2006
I had my second visit with the surgeon yesterday and I now have a surger date. Yeah!!!!! Surgery is scheduled for April 27, 2007!!!!!!!
I had my first MD appt in late October 2006. Basically, I went thru a screening and given information. I was still in the dark -- no clue at all what was involved or what I was in for. I found out at this appt that my cholesterol was high enough to warrant being put on a cholesterol med.

I had my appt with the surgeon and learned so much more. I had my two sleep studies and was diagnosed with mild to moderate sleep apnea. At this time, I began thinking "I'm just falling apart!!". But then realized "Hey, thats one more diagnosis in your favor towards insurance approval!!".
February 2007
I actually had dx of sleep apnea and now a CPAP machine. Now, its not the sexiest thing to wear to bed!! LOL My husband has one too so that helped ease the thought of having to wear the dang thing.
I had my Psyche consult and found out that my depression was not under control. No Kidding!!! But I am working thru that with help and I must say that I am doing much better.

I had my nutrition consult. Once, that was over I began thinking what was I getting myself into and was I going to be able to handle it. I am determined!!!
I found out on March 8th that my insurance had approved me for the lap band and I received the actual letter in the mail today. I am scheduled for my second visit with the surgeon next Thursday and will be able to actually schedule my surgery.
Needless to say, I am very EXCITED but afraid also. Afraid more so because this all involves CHANGE. Of course, I am having all the usual self-doubts about whether or not I can do this and suceed. But I am determined to go ahead with the lap and I AM GOING TO SUCEED!!!!!
