Well this is my story if you are interested. I have been overweight my entire life. Although back in high school when I was overweight it was o.k. because that meant I was a good football player. Not to brag but I was a pretty good football player. LOL. Anyway once I got out of high school I started gaining more weight until I got to the point to where I wasn't athletic anymore. I tried to get the lap band done about 6 years ago. I went to all the informational meetings and all the doctors appointments and I was just waiting for the insurance. You know how the damn insurance is, it takes forever. Anyway I was at the end of my rope at my job and I ended up quitting, therefore losing my insurance. I started my other job and never really thought about it again until November of 2006 on my 28th birthday and after my mothers second heart attack and first stroke, which survived, thanks to God. I was at my lowest point then. I was 494 lbs. I decided it was time to get this thing started up again. I found out my surgery would not be covered by my insurance, which is maddening. So I decided to get a loan and pay cash for it. I found lapbandsolutions and they put me in touch with Dr. Marsden and here we are On May 6th, 2007 2 days after my surgery. I am feeling pretty good and am excited about getting back to exercising.
