I called bc/bs to see if they had received the letter from the doctors office today. I spoke with Chris Frashier a nurse for the insurance company, she used to be a nurse that had in the past taken care of wls patients and told me that i would be so happy to have this surgery , that i would really like the results from it, she ask a few questions ,such as height weight type of gastric surgery ,doctors name and then told me by their requirments, i am approved and to call the doctor and get them to call and she would approve me, I called the doctors office and spoke with Sherry who said they have to fax in the letter and it would not be done till monday, 2 weeks after seeing this doctor and he still has not dictated the letter yet, so i sit here waiting..........approved ?????

I met my Doctor today and i must say i am very impressed with him, this man has a great personality and made me feel really good with his knowledge and attitude. I must say i would recommend him highly!!!!! I also met Lenita ,i think she is a sweet lady so glad i finally have a compentant medical staff to be there for me through this surgery, now the insurance wait,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I will be going monday for my consult! The doctors office called yesterday to confirm my time for monday 4pm . now the wait grows shorter.....YEA!!!!!

Called the Doctors office to make sure nothing else needed but my mo body for my appt on jan 28th, i must say they have the most WONDERFUL person in Lenita she has been so helpful and encouraging, she is a sweetie! I encourage any one useing this doctor to speak with her she really cares!I can't wait to meet her in person, goodness i have been driving her crazy and she puts up with me! every thing seems to be in order with the paper work, all forms faxed or mailed, copy of insurance card sent, diet history, medical records,letter from pcp,family history, new patient information sheet, now i have to just wait a little over a week to go then we will see what happens, I want this so bad, i hope and pray nothing else happens to stop this from happening.

I have two weeks left as of tomarrow for my consult, time going slow .. I stopped smoking yesterday to try and better my health,I am trying to prepare for the things i will need , i have a treadmill, ab-doer, xl glider and piliates for my work outs after the surgery like to get a stair stepper, that is 4 days of work outs on machines and if i get a stepper that will make 5 plus walking, advised not to use the same machines every day but to change up on them to make the work out more beneficial and gives my body rest between them. i was hopeing to have surgery while it was cold outside so i could get muscle tone built up for the spring and the long walking i would like to do. well 2 weeks and counting. Lenita (from doc's ofc) said that bc/bs pretty easy to get a quick response, just not sure where the surgery scheduleing is after the appointment, hope it not to far in the future. still waiting but not for long!!!!

I have just faxed all my medical records to the doctors office and all the forms they sent, I have 20 days and counting, exceited but still fearful, not of the surgery,but not getting an approval for it. each day the struggle with the knee and joint pain becoming more difficult, i have tried to keep my spirts up reading the message board and looking at the before and after photos, i have even gone as far as ordered some catalouges that have smaller size clothes to help keep my motivation up.
I was hoping to speak with Lenita, but she was off today, she is a god send to that office, she cares enough to answer all my questions and seems to really care! I am looking forward to meeting with her on my visit. She told me last time i called that they do lap on any one that is in my bmi range. Whoo Hooo maybe i can recover faster, so i can get to the exercising and walking i really love to be more active. well i shall count the days till the 28th! i will need all the support and prayers i can get. i am so thankful for this website and all the loving members here!!!!

received more paperwork from the doctors office , wanting weight history,diets, health problems etc, will have to send them off as soon as holidays are over, well i have gained more weight with the holidays ,trying to watch what i eat but really hard during this time now my weight has climbed to 232, can't hardly wait till jan 28th my appt with Dr. Ulich hope the time flys by.......

those nasty scales are moving again, i made it to the - 99 mark with only 1 pound before i reach the century club, finally made it to the 130's ...9 to goal! I want to make goal by christmas and i have 24 more days to lose those last 9 pounds !!!

I have 2 months to go till my next appt. of course i have gained weight amount unknown, it depresses my daily to have to carry this weight around and having to wait on my appt, I saw a glass jonah and the whale.... well the darn thing reminds me of how i feel, just like jonah trapped inside something so big and wanting out, i am thinking of purchasing it as a reminder of how i feel as an over weight person and never losing sight of where i am ,where i want to be.I get excieted for those who have lost weight and have a pity party for myself, i hope one day i can look back and this will serve as a reminder of where i have been ,but for now i still wait........

Just got a call from the new doctors office, they are changing my apt. till jan 28th 18 days later than the first one, depression has set in , i know its only 18 days but...the closer i get the further out of reach it seems. The reason is the doctor is scheduling back his apt's. for this type of surgery to 1 a week. well atleast the young lady was nice and listened to my concerns, that says alot of this office, not like dr. ckekans office, i still am furious over his treatment of me. Lenita at Dr. Ulich's office is very nice and was very sorry to change my apt but i understand, just wishing my life away till the time gets here i guess. IN MY LIFE IF I SAY I SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL... YOU CAN BET IT IS A TRAIN!!! MUST ON THE WRONG TRACK !!oh well i sit and wait til the 28th.
