Ok, I can't believe how long it's been since I updated my profile. I had my last doctor supervised diet visit yesterday. I called the insurance company today and they said they have recieved my information. The surgeons office still has to send my information from my visit yesterday. I can't wait to hear from the insurance company. The waiting is MURDER.

I am 31 years old, weigh 261.5 lbs and am 5'8".

I began researching WLS almost a year ago. At that time the doctors in my area didn't do the lap band surgery. Since my insurance company is a Kentucky based company, they wouldn't cover surgeons in other states. I contacted the Bariatric Center in Georgetown . After a long wait, they finally started doing the lap band procedure. I have finished most of my pre-op stuff including the blood work, psych eval, and sleep study. I am currently doing a 6 month doctor supervised diet so the insurance company will cover the surgery. I have 2 visits left and I can't wait until it's all over.
