I'm a 43 year old mother of 2 teenage boys. I've been overweight since the age of 12. It's taken my 5 years to get to the point of surgery. Between the insurance changes and deaths in the family, it got put on the back burner for a while. I'm so excited that I am finally approved and will be having surgery on October 9th. It's like I get to start over. It will also be nice to not be the heavy one in the family. I've heard that for years....maybe that's why I've been on antidepressants for so long! I just wish my Dad was here to help me on this journey. I don't know if he would approve of this or not, but he'd support whatever decision I made. My husband and kids have been wonderful through all of this. They tell me that I'm fine just the way I am, but they will help me in any way they can.
One thing I would like to do is get a horse! I haven't ridden in 8 years and really miss it alot.
