I have always been overweight. I can remember being teased about it being as young as 6! When I turned 18 I put myself on a training program and lost 30 lbs so that I could join the Air Force. I made it in and 18 months later they kicked me out for being overweight!! During my year and half though I learned that I did like to be active and eat healthier foods. I got married in the military and 4 years later got divorced:o) and after that my weight plateaued and I stayed the same weight for 4 years and got to know myself a little better( I was married at 18, wayyy to young for me). I moved to NC where I met my husband who is a born and raised Charlestonian!! We moved here to Charleston (goose creek) and 2 beautiful kids later, my weight has ballooned to 243. I can feel my health spiraling downward and this time I seem powerless to stop it. HBP, Cholesterol, swelling, diabetes, acid reflux, you name it. My doctor, my husband and my friends here are very supportive of my decision.
