I am 34 years old, have been a yo-yo dieter for all of my adult life. I did not struggle with my weight during childhood, but it became a big problem as I grew up. I now find myself struggling with morbid obesity. Having once lost a large amount of weight through Medifast (eventually regaining) and running a half marathon, I learned how it felt to be healthy, energetic, and confident. Unfortunately I gained all the weight back and have since felt like I am missing out on life. I will not settle for a fat, unhealthy me any longer. I deserve a better me! My family deserves a better me! My farm deserves a better me! After having bariatric surgery suggested to me as an option, I researched it thoroughly and realized this is the tool I have probably needed all along. My vertical sleeve gastrectomy date is 3/17/14.
