I have not always been overweight but it has been a very long time since I have been able to shop anywhere but in the Plus Size stores . I have had the normal ups & downs with different weight loss programs and I have done many. I had looked into WLS before but decided to make another attempt with another Weight loss program. So for 18 months I went to Jenny Craig and even though it was slow I worked very hard with the diet and exercise and lost 45lbs but once again hit that brick wall.

I then made my decision (after much investigation) and got the support of my family and friends and in June 2006 attended my 1st Support group meeting ( I go regulary and find it helps to hear from others on their journey and I plan on continuing post surgery to get support for myself and to help others like I have been helped so far). I know many people that have had the surgery and have spoken at length to each of them. I met with Dr Randall in early July and felt immediatly comfortable with him. I have completed all of my required tests and have been seeing the Nutritionist monthly as well as Dr Randall as this is required by my insurance company (Aetna requires 6 months supervised diet/exercise ...behavior modification) ...One more month (Jan 2007) of appts and finally I can look forward to a surgery date.

I am so ready ....I know it is going to be a lot of hard work but the support of family, friends, everyone at Dr Randall's office and the Support group will get me through it.

I am so looking forward to 2007 ...it will really be a Happy New Year!
